Kate Laing is the owner and artist behind Lionheart Canyon Studio. Working from her home studio in Omaha, Nebraska, she creates contemporary handwoven art rooted in a deep connection to place.

Kate is originally from Arizona, and she draws inspiration from the vast landscapes of the American Southwest. Her organic weaving style is guided by awe-filled moments among ancient canyon landscapes. Her compositions echo the horizon lines of the desert, weaving layers of fiber on her wooden frame loom.

Each piece is thoughtfully created with nature-inspired color stories and diverse, sustainable fibers. For more than a decade, Kate has been weaving a narrative rooted in heirloom quality craftsmanship.
