"Black Iris" Medium Statement Weaving

"Black Iris" Medium Statement Weaving

$228.00

Creative inspiration is drawn from all aspects of being alive — of exploring our natural landscapes, of speaking poetry with humans, of viewing life through the eyes of others. “Black Iris” was woven in an investigation of Georgia O’Keeffe’s painting of the same name. This statement weaving was displayed in Landlock Gallery (Omaha, NE) through July 2021, as part of the “Bound Together” group show.

This statement woven wall hanging was made with hand torn velvet, recycled chiffon ribbon, soft cotton cord, wool roving, textured art yarn, alpaca wool and small amounts of wool blend fibers. The color story tells of blue-grey, mauve, maroon, white and dark grey. The wood was foraged from a rocky canyon in western Kansas. Woven goods will be wrapped neatly in paper and tied with twine.

This is considered a medium statement wall hanging, perfect for displaying over a couch or bed along with other pieces of artwork.

Payment plan available via Afterpay at checkout.
