This trio of weavings were made in a deep woods season of anxiety and depression —truthfully, I haven’t woven anything in nearly two months even though creating is so intricately rooted into my being. Not having the energy to create has sent me into a dissociative state, but I somehow pulled from the deepest familiarity and these three weavings were born. Into the Water, Into the Desert, Into the Daydream — each representing a piece of my mental health over the past two months especially. But I think the spark is reviving herself, and hands felt good when these were coming to be. I feel a little more like myself, again.

Featuring a light blue, white + grey color story, with hints of plum colored velvet woven in.

This wall hanging was made with Belgian wool roving, alpaca wool, hand torn velvet, recycled chiffon ribbon, and soft cotton cord — all woven onto a 12” wooden hoop. Woven goods will be wrapped neatly and tied with twine.
