I’m Kate Laing, and I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m inspired by the wildness of nature, and the constantly changing beauty of our earth. A collector of sticks and stories. I’ve been weaving for nearly ten years now (and a multidisciplinary artist for many years longer).
I’m currently based in Omaha, Nebraska but I have always been drawn to the American Southwest. Someday I would love for Lionheart Canyon to be a real place in the desert, for creative people to gather. This is a space for those of us who crave exploration, and still desire to return to a cozy home at day’s end.

The image of Lionheart Canyon was carefully hand-carved on a linoleum block, then individually printed by hand with an oil-based professional artist grade ink. The paper edges were also hand-torn to create a deckled look. Now available in the shop, along with other linocut block print designs!
