Though it seems the longest winter in quite some time… the promises of a coming spring are showing. Melting snow nourishes the frozen soil, and soon enough — the blooms will come. Thunderstorms will saturate the morning air or light the night sky, and our dry bones will be nourished again. This little plum + blue + grey + cream colored weaving is set to remind you that the end of winter is drawing near, and the hope of springtime blooms are just around the corner.

This woven wall hanging was made with Belgian wool pencil roving, art yarn, chiffon ribbon and soft cotton cord. The wood was foraged from a canyon in far Western Kansas. Woven goods will be wrapped neatly and tied with twine.

This is considered a small wall hanging, ideal for nestling among other pieces of artwork on a gallery wall (or on a narrower wall space).

MEASUREMENT INFORMATION:

• 7.5” wide x 15” long — the width and length of the woven body and fringe.

• 11” wide x 20” long — the width of the wood rod, and the length of where the nail will be to the farthest tip of fringe.
