"Ghost Ranch" Statement Weaving
"Ghost Ranch" Statement Weaving
“Ghost Ranch” — an ode to the beautiful and inspiring Georgia O’Keeffe. This is the beginning of my study on Ms. O’Keeffe, her work, and the desert landscapes that inspired her. More to come.
This artwork was on display at the Contemporary: Pierce Street Fine Arts Showcase in Omaha, NE from June 23-29, 2023.
This statement woven wall hanging was created with chiffon ribbon, sari silk, cotton cord, avocado dyed wool, jersey ribbon, vintage art yarn, cotton frizz ribbon and jute. This weaving also features beautiful O’Keeffe ceramic beads, handmade by my Kilnfolk artist mentor, the incredible Krista Koons of Her Name is Mud.
The driftwood was foraged from a forest in eastern Nebraska. Collected handwoven artwork will be wrapped neatly in paper and tied with twine.
This is considered a textural statement wall hanging, perfect for displaying as a sole piece on your wall, or the centerpiece on a gallery wall. .
Payment plan available via Afterpay at checkout. Free local pick up in Omaha, NE is available.
