This trio of weavings were made in a deep woods season of anxiety and depression —truthfully, I haven’t woven anything in nearly two months even though creating is so intricately rooted into my being. Not having the energy to create has sent me into a dissociative state, but I somehow pulled from the deepest familiarity and these three weavings were born. Into the Water, Into the Desert, Into the Daydream — each representing a piece of my mental health over the past two months especially. But I think the spark is reviving herself, and hands felt good when these were coming to be. I feel a little more like myself, again.

Featuring a mauve, lavender + grey color story, with small multicolored scraps tucked into the handspun yarn.

This wall hanging was made with handspun art yarn, Belgian wool roving, and soft cotton cord — all woven onto a 12” wooden hoop. Woven goods will be wrapped neatly and tied with twine.
